Containers with weapons and ammunition discovered in Laszki in Podkarpacie do not belong to the Polish Army – the Ministry of National Defence provides. They are to be owned by a private company which is licensed to trade specified equipment. The case is explained by the Industrial territory Attorney's Office and the Central Police Investigation Office.
Television Republic reported the find this morning. According to her reports, containers with weapons and ammunition of unknown origin were discovered in the land belonging to the Aeroclub of Jarosław Land. According to RMF FM, there were anti-aircraft systems in the boxes. The airport was covered by police. Officers of the interior safety Agency, Military Counterintelligence Service and the Military Police were to arrive.
After the 13th, the Ministry of Defence referred to the case. "We inform you that the containers found in Laszki on Podkarpacie are not owned by the Polish Army," said Minister Janusz Sejmej in a statement. He added that the applicable service had already secured the equipment and the location of the find.
Jacek Dobrzyński, a spokesperson for the Minister of peculiar Services Coordinator, admitted that the containers were in the airport hangar. – The equipment does not belong to the Polish army. It comes from a private entity which holds a licence to trade arms," Dobrzyński reported. However, he did not explain the circumstances under which she was found in Laszki. According to RMF FM, the weaponry was to hit Ukraine, but for unknown reasons it did not scope Ukraine (the airfield referred to is located about 20 km from the border with Ukraine). The crates landed in a hangar that was initially guarded by security. But then safety disappeared.
The investigation is conducted by the Industrial territory Attorney's Office and the Central Police Investigation Office, based on the interior safety Agency's materials.
