Katarzyna Bosacka late published an interesting post on her social media. Journalist, compared the compositions of 2 products of the same brand, with 1 from last year and the another from the current one. It was found that the maker had introduced a minor, albeit crucial change.
It is average for manufacturers to change the packaging of products from time to time, but not adequate to decide to change the composition, and to the detriment. We think it should look completely different.. We presume that consumers have a akin view of this, who may feel cheated in specified a situation. All the more so erstwhile the maker is not willing to notify a change in its customers.
This was the case with a popular express barr, which has been hosted on the Polish marketplace for years. fewer customers saw the change in composition, however, Katarzyna Bosacka, who was guarding the quality of food products, made the substance public on her social media.

The writer received information from 1 of her observers that the composition of the express barr differs from its last year's counterpart. Bosacka decided to take a closer look at the case.
The photos were received from my watcher, who wiped her eyes with amazement. I went to the store myself to check the composition of this product and it confirmed... – we read.
In the composition of this borscht we can find among another things Sugar, concentrated beet juice 15.9%, maltodextrin, palm oil... And it was this last ingredient that got the writer interested. Why? due to the fact that the product last year, it contained sunflower oil alternatively of the mentioned palm oil.
Borsch in a purse from the same manufacturer. 1 bought a year ago, 1 bought this year. The first has sunflower oil and the second (new)... palm oil – Bosacka wrote.
Can customers feel cheated?
Yes and no. According to the law, the maker has the anticipation of conditional usage of substitutes due to the deficiency or shortage of products in connection with the war in Ukraine. This was besides the position of the maker of borscht referring to the Bosack entry.
We kindly inform that in products "Barszcz Red WINIARY – Express Soup" due to the deficiency of stableness of supply of natural materials, caused, among others, by the war in Ukraine, sunflower oil was temporarily replaced by palm oil. We would like to point out that this change does not affect the taste, quality or safety of the product. By facilitating the packaging of the product, the oil is mainly auxiliary and its content is only 0.1 g per 100 ml of finished food. The palm oil utilized in the product comes exclusively from sustainable sources. In this case, it is an optimal substitute due to its sensory neutrality, so it does not affect the taste of dishes. This change was essential to guarantee the continued availability of the product on the store shelves – we read in the post sent.
