2 Polish Corps practiced with allies

The final edition, Avenger Triad 25, was held from 23 October to 2 November 2025 in respective locations in Europe, including Poland – in Camp Kościuszko in Poznań and in Baltic Barracks in Szczecin. The maneuvers were combined with NATO Steadfast Duel exercise and brought together soldiers from respective twelve Alliance states, including the US, the UK and the Baltic countries.

The Avenger Triad 25 script included a simulation of large-scale combat operations. peculiar emphasis has been placed on integration of command systems, investigating NATO regional plans and strengthening defence capacity in hybrid threat conditions. The increasing importance of cybersecurity and coordination in cyberspace, as well as improved communication, has besides been highlighted.

During the Avenger Triad 2025, implemented in Germany, Poland and the United Kingdom, soldiers of the 2nd Polish Corps improved their planning in a multinational environment. The exercise, led by NATO Air Force Command (LANDCOM) and U.S. Army Europe and Africa, developed joint command and cooperation procedures in the framework of major LSCO operations (Large-Scale Combat Operations), which form the foundation of NATO's modern doctrine.

At the same time, Steadfast Duel 2025 was held in the Norwegian Stavanger – NATO's largest command and relay exercise this year, involving all States of the Alliance. This is the first task implementing the script of Article 5 after the accession of Sweden and Finland. The aim was to improve the decision-making process, integrate combat systems and synchronise activities in a multi-domain environment.

The combination of the 2 exercises increased the realism of training and allowed coordinated action by land, air, sea, cybernetic and space, strengthening NATO's ability to respond to crisis situations.

During the Avenger Triad, the commander of the 2nd Polish Corps, the general defends Dr. Adam Joks, participated in meetings in NATO structures and US training centers, including in Grafenwoehr and the British Allied fast Reaction Corps. During the Steadfast Duel 2025 exercise at Stavanger, Gen. Joks met with the head of the exercise program and NATO Joint Warfare Centre commander, discussing the integration of experiences and the introduction of fresh solutions in command structures.

The 2nd Corps actions are part of building NATO's deterrence capacity on the east flank and the improvement of the east Flank Deterrence Line – a strategy strengthening the Alliance's interaction and resilience.

Poland plays a central function in the Avenger Triad series as both host and active participant. In the 2025 edition, exercises were carried out, among others, in Szczecin and Poznań, where the office of the Multinational North-East Corps (MNC NE) improved command processes in conditions of simulated conflict.

The final phase of the 2KP-DKL participation in the Avenger Triad 25 exercise was its summary and discussion of the effects. It was besides attended by NATO elder Mentor, weapon Gen. John Kolasheski, a erstwhile commander of the U.S. V Corps, who shared with the participants the discussion of his experience, observations with exercises and recommendations regarding the goals achieved in the area of improving allied interoperability.

The Avenger Triad 25 exercise contributed to further strengthening the Alliance's defence readiness, building on the experience from erstwhile editions and adapting the training program to a dynamically changing geopolitical situation.
