Almost a 100 aircraft, simulators, exhibitions of historical cars and motorcycles, food trucks and many another attractions on the campus of the Air Force Academy in Dęblin during a picnic on the 100th anniversary of the Orląt School. We invitation you to celebrate the jubilee of the university, from which the elite of Polish aviation originates.
The discipline and Aviation Picnic is the culmination of the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Military Academy in Dęblin. Today, in addition to the exhibition of state-of-the-art equipment, there are besides presentations of souvenirs and silhouettes of outstanding graduates, engineering models and technologies implemented by the Orląt School. Gen. Brig. pil. dr inż. Krzysztof Cur, the rector-commandant of the Military Academy of Aviation, stresses that the celebration of the Jubilee is an chance to celebrate, but besides a minute to look to the future, sharing scientific, technological and passionate achievements that constantly accompany aviation.
During the picnic a full scope of aircraft were presented, which over 100 years were utilized for training Polish pilots. Their stands were besides prepared by representatives of manufacture inseparably linked to aviation development: Polish Armed Forces Group, Leonardo, RTX corp – Pratt&Whitey, MBDA Polska, Lockheed Martin, PZL-Świdnik, Embraer, Airbus Poland, Korea Aerospace Industries, Boeing, Babcock or Northrop Grumman. For the youngest there is simply a corner with games and games, roundabouts and competitions.
The biggest attraction was aerial shows. Throughout the picnic you could admire the machines and their efficient pilots. Above Dęblin there were military, civilian and unmanned aircraft and helicopters – everything in a peculiar frame. During the air show of the Military Academy in the sky, training machines were presented, which are trained all day by students including Diamond DA20, Diamond DA40, Diamond DA42, Robinson R44, Guimbal Cabri G2, M-346 Bielik, Extra 300 LP and PZL-130 Orlik.
The flights of transport and reconnaissance aircraft included CASA C-295M, C-130 Hercules, SAAB 340 AEW, Boeing 737. There were besides historical machines: T-6 Harvard, RWD5, RWD8. A show of flying aircraft models was besides of large interest. The item of the shows was a block of jet machines, including the F-16 Tiger Demo squad and the FA-50.
The picnic attracted full families and aviation enthusiasts and amateurs. He was an chance for enthusiasts of technology and history, students or students to closely see the past and future of aviation, as well as to get acquainted with the offer of the Military Academy Aviation. “We want this day to become an inspiration for young people and an impulse for the further improvement of modern aviation in Poland”, said Rector-Commander Krzysztof Cur.
