Professional soldiers feed ranks of armies

The appointment to the professional military service in 2025 is as planned," Deputy Minister Paweł Bejda informs in consequence to the parliamentary interpelation. During the first 3 quarters, 72 percent of the yearly call plan for professional military service was implemented, meaning that 14.8 1000 professional soldiers had arrived at the time.

MP Paweł Szrot in an interpelled to the Minister of National Defence asked about the question of appointing soldiers for professional military service. “From the information that comes to me from soldiers, [it turns out] the appointment of soldiers for professional military service has been suspended until the end of this year. Further appointment of soldiers for professional military service is planned on or after 1 January 2026," said PiS politician, requesting the number of soldiers actually called for professional service in 2025.

Paweł Bejda, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Defence, denied these reports. "Calling to the SSC in 2025 is carried out as planned," he said. During the first 3 quarters of 2025, 14.8 1000 soldiers were formed, which represents 72 percent of the yearly plan of appointments to professional military service (not including professional soldiers who are educated). "The process of achieving the population planned at the end of the 4th fourth of this year is continuing," stressed the Deputy Minister of Defence. He besides added that in addition to this number, 2.2 1000 soldiers were appointed to the professional military service during training and to voluntary essential military service 3.3 1000 soldiers were created during training.

Deputy Minister Bejda pointed out that the process of achieving the established numbers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland was carried out on the basis of an undisclosed schedule, which was developed under the budget decision for 2025. It sets out the alleged limit of the state of medium-year professional soldiers. On 11 November, Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish reported that in The Polish army serves a full of 215 1000 soldiers.
