According to the Communication of the Operations Command of the Types of Armed Forces, a soldier of the 18th Mechanized Division, serving at the border with Belarus as part of Operation Safe Podlasie, on last Wednesday voluntarily withdrew from the camp in Mielnik, taking with him a service weapon. He fired shots at a civilian vehicle, then hid in a close forest. They found him and stopped the task force in Mielnik. It turned out that he was intoxicated; 3rd parties were not injured in the event - stated the Operations Command of Types of Armed Forces.
