The Court of State elected by the Sejm of the 10th word consists of lawyers with very advanced professional experience. The most seats in the Court were awarded to the Law and Justice Club. There are 7 members among whom we can find Adrian Salus or Maciej Zaborowski.
However, 7 seats do not warrant the Court's direction. Six judges were proposed by the Civic Coalition, 2 Polish People's organization and 1 by Poland 2050, the Left and the Confederation.
Court of State. Who will its members be?
Among the judges of the Court of State are many acquainted faces. Among another things, there is the celebrated Warsaw lawyer Jack Dubois, who represented Beata Sawica, Donald Tusk, Bronisław Komorowski and Roman Giertych. Józef Zych, legend of Polish parliamentaryism, 1 of the first Speakers of the Polish Parliament III and honorary president of the Polish Parliament, will besides sit in the Court.
It is worth mentioning from the fresh members of the Court the president of the General Bar Council of Przemysław Rosatim and the Warsaw lawyer Kamila Ferenc. Ms Ferenc was celebrated as a woman's lawyer for matters related to the Constitutional Court's judgement on abortion (she represented Mrs Joanna from Krakow, among others). In addition, her actions led to a decision by the Ombudsman, who decided that the intellectual wellness risks of a pregnant patient were adequate for abortion. 32-year-old Kamila Ferenc will be the youngest female in the past of the 3rd Republic to become a justice of the Court of State.
