I express my firm opposition to the deficiency of consent to the Holy Mass in the Basilica of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The words of support address the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem and all Christians in the Holy Land.

Palm Sunday begins the Holy Week, and Christians prepare for the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

The actions of the Israeli police, which I condemn, are an expression of disrespect towards Christian tradition and culture.
