Police from the Central Bureau for the Fight of Cybercrime conducted a nationwide action "Hellfire" aimed at pedophile crime. 123 people were detained and about 330 1000 files containing kid sexual abuse material were secured, including content generated utilizing artificial intelligence.
According to CBZC spokesperson Marcin Zagórski, within 2 weeks the officers conducted 175 searches and secured about 1.5 1000 electronic devices. The charges were heard by 95 people and 47 suspects were temporarily arrested.
Among the detainees there were, among others, a teacher recording language school students, a man urging children online to engage in sexual activities and persons secretly recording intimate situations of household members. Police besides detained a 19-year-old fishy in perpetuating sexual material involving a insignificant half-sister.
Commandant of CBZC Mr Wojciech Olszowy stressed that actions are aimed at protecting children and combating the dissemination of illegal content, including those created by AI.
