photo. X / @ZiobroPLOn Friday, erstwhile Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro made an appearance on tv Republika, rejecting allegations previously formulated from the parliament talker by Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
The head of government cited fragments of the minutes of the main witness' evidence in the Zondacrypto Stock Exchange investigation, suggesting the transfer by Przemysław Krala of PLN 2 million in exchange for legal aid, of which PLN 500 1000 was to be found in the Polish Sovereign community-related foundation of the political brother, and Patrycja Kotecka was to mediate. Ziobro denied any influence on the proceedings and defined the case as an organized political attack:
"We are dealing with a serious situation. A peculiar operation is being carried out: “destroy the right”. The people who are in power present made a deal with the criminals. They make false facts and effort to implicate the full right-wing camp in lying ventures that have not occurred. This is an incredible thing for me.”
The erstwhile minister announced a notification of a suspected crime committed by the authorities, arguing that Zondacrypto and Krala were not present in investigations, did not analyse the case files, and the key decisions concerning the company were taken between 2024 and 2025:
"We are dealing with a “stitched” provocation, here you can see Giertych's hand and ways of doing it. In this case, I will besides make a announcement of suspicion that this authority, acting by mafia methods, creates or encourages, as much as is pointed out, surely uses a individual active in the crime."
Quotes from the minutes read in the Sejm and the consequence of the vote on the President's veto
During his morning speech in the Sejm, Donald Tusk quoted passages of evidence from the investigation, describing the alleged declarations of Zbigniew Ziobra and the promises of pardon made by an anonymous politician in the event of president Charles Nawrocki taking office:
‘Zbyszek has read the files. He says if he knew this was happening, he'd intervene immediately. He promised that erstwhile he returned to power at the Ministry of Justice, which he is certain he would turn his head on all of these cases. And not to worry.”
"Patricia Kotecka played a major function in this process. This is an apparent asset benefit. I paid for it due to the fact that I was expected to be a clean man. The most crucial thing in this cooperation was that Mr. X, a publically known person, promised that if Nawrocki became president, he would get me a pardon if I was convicted of this.”
Zbigniew Ziobro addressed the issue of contacts with Przemysław Kralem, declaring that the entrepreneur sought a gathering during his stay in Budapest, but met twice with a refusal. He pointed out that he had no cognition of the participation of representatives of the platform in the parliamentary legislative work at the time erstwhile the funds were transferred to the foundation. Despite the speech of the Prime Minister and the debate in the Chamber, the Sejm failed to reject the 3rd veto of president Karol Nawrocki to the Act on the crypto-activist marketplace – 25 votes were missing until the legislative act was re-adopted.
