Former Minister of Justice and PiS MP Zbigniew Ziobro confirmed on Wednesday that he had obtained asylum in Hungary. As he argued, the decision was issued on December 22, 2025 and is formally valid. The politician is presently in Budapest, where he claims he has been granted global protection. The case has a direct connection with the ongoing investigation in Poland in which the National Prosecutor's Office accuses him of directing an organized crime group and committing respective crimes in connection with the Justice Fund.
