Several hours of action in the cold, skiing and reflection in the snow scene – this is the winter group of sharpshooters and snipers of territorial defence troops, which takes place in the island Beskid.

Strong frost, snowfall and limited visibility – in specified conditions, characteristic of the present winter, from 9 to 18 January this year is realized a group of sharpshooters, snipers and observers. The training takes place in the demanding area of the Island Beskid and has gathered more than 35 soldiers from the Brigades and the WOT Training Centre and the 21th Podhalan firearm Brigade. The organizer of the group is the 5th Mazowiecka Territorial Defence Brigade, and the host is the 114th Limanowski Light Infantry Battalion (11th Małopolska OT Brigade).

The group was planned to make maximum usage of the real, hard terrain and weather conditions that soldiers may encounter during combat activities. respective hours of tactical episodes are carried out at negative temperatures, deep snow and mountain areas, which require not only excellent physical fitness, but besides precise planning and collaboration in teams.

During training, soldiers analyse how low temperatures, snowfalls and variable weather affect reflection conducted utilizing unmanned aircraft, including those equipped with thermal cameras.
