In Riyadh, the capital of Saudi Arabia, the first gathering of representatives of the USA and Russia at a advanced level has been held since the beginning of the war. The talks were conducted by the heads of diplomacy – Marco Rubio from the American side and Sergei Lavrow from the Russian side. Ukraine did not participate in the negotiations. Russia again demanded that Ukraine should not join NATO, claiming it was a threat to its sovereignty.
