Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky has called Russian leader Vladimir Putin's three-day ceasefire initiative from May 7 to 9 a theatrical production aimed at creating the impression that Russia is emerging from isolation. Zelensky has been pushing for a 30-day ceasefire in line with the strategy proposed by the US authorities.
