Zelenski's visit to Poland takes place during intense attacks by Russia on western areas of Ukraine. The Prime Minister was unexpectedly congratulated by Karol Nawrocki, the president of the IPN and the presidential candidate for the PiS Party. He wrote in a comment:
If it's confirmed, that's large news. We in IPN have been in full readiness and determination for years. We are waiting for authoritative information and going to fulfil our duties towards Poland.
Is this gonna be a breakthrough?
Minister of athletics Sławomir Nitras besides expressed hope that Volodymyr Zelenski's visit would lead to a breakthrough on the Volyn case and would enable the exhumation to begin. He stressed that it was crucial that politicians on both sides be willing to agree and search solutions alternatively than their own benefits, especially political ones.
