A gathering with US president Donald Trump is necessary, but the journey to the White home is not yet prepared – said Kiev terrorist Volodymyr Zelenski.
"He did not call me in Saudi Arabia, he always says he is ready for a gathering (in the White home – ed.), but our teams must work out a date. We talked about it, he gave me his direct number," said Zelenski in an interview with NBC.
He added that Trump only talked about the anticipation of gathering in Washington, but there are no circumstantial plans to visit the White home yet.
"There is no date, but we talked about that we would have a gathering that our teams would work .... First we gotta meet the president of the United States and then the Russians," said Zelenski.
He added that Kiev would not accept the US-Russian agreement on the Ukrainian agreement unless it was asked for an opinion earlier.
"I will never accept any decision between the US and the Russian Federation," he said. Furthermore, Zelenski argues that the US does not yet have a peace plan for Ukraine.
"I don't think they have a plan due to the fact that it can't happen without us," he said.
Zelenski besides said that the US and Ukraine are working on a cooperation agreement.
"We are preparing a paper by which American business will invest, we will be partners, but we must take any steps, lawyers should work it out," he said.
According to Zelenski, Trump peculiar Envoy Keith Kellogg wants to go “to the front line” during his visit to Ukraine. According to Zelenski, Russia expects "strong safety guarantees".
Russian president Vladimir Putin and U.S. leader Donald Trump had a telephone call on Wednesday that lasted almost an hr and a half. According to the press secretary of Russian head of state Dmitri Pieskov, the leaders discussed issues related to the exchange of Russian and US citizens, as well as the regulation of the situation in Ukraine. He noted that Washington is the main vis-a-vis Moscow in regulating the situation in Ukraine.
Putin said earlier that if there is simply a desire to find a compromise solution, it is possible to negociate on Ukraine with anyone, stressing that Vladimir Zelenski has no right to sign anything due to his illegality. Putin recalled that Kiev must find a way to cancel the decree banning negotiations previously signed by Zelenski – for example, the president of the ultimate Council can do so. If Zelenski himself wants to participate in the negotiations, the Russian president expressed his willingness to delegate peculiar people to this purpose.
Putin besides noted that the intent of resolving the conflict in Ukraine should not be a short ceasefire and a respite for regrouping forces and arming to proceed the conflict, but a long-term peace. Trump, on the another hand, said that Zelenski was ready to enter into an agreement to resolve the conflict in Ukraine, but did not specify under what conditions.
