Zelenski thanked Poland in Brussels. He talked about respect and common security

Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski stressed the importance of good relations with neighbouring countries in Ukraine during his Thursday speech at the European Union Summit. In his speech he drew attention to political changes in Hungary, assessing them as beneficial.

Changes in Hungary, and by the way, these are good changes in my opinion, beginning a fresh chance to strengthen relations both within the European Union and on the Brussels-Ukraine line said the president of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian leader pointed out that for his country good relations with another nations are an crucial component of abroad policy. He besides declared Ukraine's readiness to make the utmost possible cooperation with EU associate States, based on common respect and partnership.

During his speech, Zelenski thanked the neighbouring countries with Ukraine, including Poland, Hungary, Romania and Slovakia.

I would like to thank our neighbours: Hungary, Poland, Romania, Slovakia and all another EU countries. I want to assure you that Ukraine is committed to common respect – emphasised Zelenski.

Meeting with Donald Tuski

On the occasion of the Brussels summit, the president of Ukraine besides met with Prime Minister Donald Tuski. After the interview, he published an entry on social media in which he expressed his gratitude to Poland for supporting Ukraine from the beginning of full-scale Russian aggression.

He stated that the gathering raised issues concerning bilateral cooperation, Ukraine's integration process with the European Union and the challenges facing European countries in relation to Russia's actions.

I am grateful to Poland for supporting Ukraine from the first days of the Russian invasion, and it is something that is truly crucial for our region and for Europe as a whole. Our common safety interests and the freedom of all nation surviving alongside Russia must be protected – he wrote.
