Volodymyr Zelenski referred to the thought of a UN-led peacekeeping mission
– Kiev does not consider the UN as an alternate to a European military contingent or safety guarantee," stated president Volodymyr Zelenski on Friday. Previously, the media reported that French president Emmanuel Macron was considering forming a mission under UN authority.
– As for the UN, with all due respect, The UN will not defend us from Putin's business or desire, to step in again. We do not see the UN as an alternate to the quota or safety guarantees – said Zelenski at a joint press conference with president Petr Pavlem of the Czech Republic visiting Ukraine.
He explained that Ukraine maintains a “reasonable and logical” relation with the UN.
– Surely, erstwhile there are troops who know where they come from, there is Air defence and there are ships, there are planes and there is simply a serious army, there is simply a real interview from our partners here in Ukraine, it will surely be very dangerous to talk against specified force. Will Russia be afraid of the UN? They (Russians – ed.) have already violated everything in this war, so I don't think they'll be afraid. – said Zelenski.
Macron's proposal. Mission under the auspices of the UN
Previously, “The Telegraph” reported that French president Emmanuel Macron actively explores alternatives to the deployment of European forces in Ukraine.

Declaration by the president of the Czech Republic
The Czech president said at the same press conference that his country could supply part of the military contingent in Ukraine.
– There was a gathering at the office level (Thursday – ed.) in London. Its main nonsubjective was to discuss the conditions of possible military presence in Ukraine. The Czech Republic is ready to take part in these negotiations. And if the final decision to make specified forces is made, I truly believe that the Czech Republic will be part of them," said Petr Pavel.
