[Volodymyr Zelenski besides said](https://www.reuters.com/world/europe/zelenskiy-says-ukraine-working-set-up-trump-meeting-2025-01-21/) that Ukraine would not accept any demands from the Russian Federation to restrict its armed forces. In his opinion, specified action will only encourage Moscow to further aggression. He besides added that Europe should become a much stronger player on the global phase and hence increase its safety spending. He thus referred to Donald Trump's message and replied that if 5% of GDP must be spent on defence, then let it be so if the price is to be safety on the continent.
