Italian media study that cyclist Filippo Baroncini was awakened from a pharmacological coma after 2 weeks. Doctors' prognosis is cautious.

24-year-old Baroncini has been hospitalized since the fatal accident to which he suffered in the 3rd phase of the Tour de Pologne. Then he went to the infirmary in Wałbrzych for a fewer days, where he underwent clavicular surgery.

The Italian player was then transported to a infirmary in Milan. He was undergoing further treatments – he underwent complicated facial and spinal surgery lasting a full of over 11 hours. The coma was essential due to serious facial injuries that required immobilisation.

According to the Italian Quotidianosportivo service, the heaviest phase of treatment is already behind the cyclist. Nevertheless, doctors carefully measure further prognosis.
