On Tuesday, May 20, 2025, a peculiar kid was born at Blahodar Perinatal Center. It's a boy named Yuri, after his tragically deceased father. A man died in combat in Donetsk region of Ukraine, and his widowed wife thus decided to honor his memory.

The parents of the different toddler are Natalia and Yuri Hordiiciukki. According to the media, the birth of a kid is the consequence of an in vitro conception that utilized the frozen semen of a dead soldier. All due to the fact that the couple struggled with the infertility problem and yet decided to frost the cells - just in case.

Little Yuri is the first artificial fertilization kid in Ukraine to usage the biological material of a deceased soldier. Which makes him a truly peculiar small guy. Moreover, the baby came into the planet on the eve of his father's first anniversary.

Modern medicine and artificial insemination are not just dreams of parenting. For parent Yuri is not only a waiting son, but besides a symbol of a fresh beginning and hope for a better future. “It is simply a large joy for me and the feeling that Yuri is inactive with us in any way,” said small Yuri’s mother. And she admitted that she was motivated by the words of her husband, who always said "she's strong" and "she'll be fine.".
