The leading global tennis player, including Iga Świątek, Aryna Sabalenka and Jannik Sinner, sharpens the dispute with the organizers of the Grand Slam tournaments. The players argue that despite the expanding gross of the events, their share of profits remains besides low.
The conflict has continued since 2025 erstwhile ATP and WTA players jointly demanded a fairer distribution of money and a real impact on decisions regarding the functioning of sport. There are besides social demands — from the pension fund to wellness support and maternity leave.
French Open organizers have increased the prize pool to EUR 61.7 million, but tennis players are not enough. They indicate that with revenues in hundreds of millions of euros their share does not exceed 15%, much little than the expected 22%.
