Swearing by president Karol Nawrocki

Karol Nawrocki took an oath before the National Assembly, formally assuming the office of president of the Republic of Poland. The ceremony began in the building of the Sejm, where at 9:55 p.m. the Marshal of the Sejm Simon Holovnia and the Marshal of the legislature Margaret Kidawa-Błońska welcomed the President-elect and his wife Marta Nawrocka. The event was state, elevated and symbolic. The oath was held in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and the act of oath itself was issued in the presence of the highest state authorities.

"It is simply a voice that we cannot proceed to regulation this way and that Poland should not look like this today. It is – dear Members – the voice of Poles and Poles that they want politicians to fulfil their promises made during the campaign.”

Nawrocki stressed that his presidency would be based on a programme called "Plan 21", which, as he pointed out, received support from 10.5 million citizens. In the afternoon, the president of Poland's investment took place as Grand Master of the Order of the White Eagle and the Order of the Revival of Poland, during which he took over symbolic sovereignty over the oldest state distinctions.
