Invitation to the ceremony “The Flame of Independence”

Together we will pay tribute to the heroes who fought for the freedom of the Homeland and remind how crucial historical memory and patriotism are passed on to subsequent generations.

The event will be attended by the executive staff of the Ministry of Defence, representatives of military, cultural, local and students of uniform classes and scouts. The gathering will be an excellent chance to perceive to a performance of the Polish Army Artistic squad entitled “Hey, scorers together!” which is an artistic reflection on the legacy of the January Uprising. The program includes musical works referring to the 19th century era, besides enriched with compositions later, inspired by the thought of fighting for independency and patriotism. The musical communicative will be completed by the recitation of poesy by Adam Mickiewicz, Mieczysław Romanowski and Józef Mączka, creating a coherent communicative about consecration, freedom and national identity. The performance combines artistic values with educational and historical dimensions, paying tribute to the characters of those events.

After the end of the artistic part we will go together to the failure Gate (Cytadela Warszawska), where patriotic celebrations will be held at around 4 p.m.
