In Poland, we do not have a sensible housing policy, Poland needs a president who will mobilise the government to make social construction, among others," said the organization candidate Together for president Adrian Zandberg in Gdańsk.

Zandberg in Gdańsk organized a press conference, at which he presented his ideas on housing policy.

We are the 21st economy of the world, we are arrogant of how we moved forward and how we developed, but erstwhile it comes to housing policy, it looks worse in Poland even than in the times of the Polish People's Republic of Poland.

“The MP assessed.

He added that in the Polish People's Republic Poland could afford to run a housing program.

Today it is that the blocks from the times of the Polish People's Republic are an unsurpassed dream for people to have a 2 or three-room flat there, due to the fact that for young generation their own roof over their head – on a pathological, developer marketplace – is simply unattainable

“He said.

No Solutions

In his opinion, the only thing the Minister of improvement and Technology Krzysztof Paszyk has to offer to young people is to take a loan, which, as Zandberg said, they will not be able to take due to the fact that they have no creditworthiness.

The candidate stated that in Poland there is simply a "business that earns immense money on land transfers from self-government and people who are treated without respect for dignity". He added that there is besides a country that fails all over the line.

We in Poland have no sensible housing policy

“ He said.

He added that a year ago, before the elections, there were advanced hopes that something would change in terms of housing policy. However, in his opinion, what the Polish government is doing in this substance is "a joke".

Nothing happened erstwhile it comes to money for self-government, to build decent quality social construction, erstwhile it comes to repairing vacants, which are in many Polish cities, where thousands of families could live in normal, decent, dignified conditions, and erstwhile it comes to mastering the pathology of short-term rental, which destroys city centres

said the politician.

Zandberg's plan

He stressed that Poland needs a president to mobilize the government to yet "get to work" and start doing his job. He pointed out that the government should make social construction, "build on a large scale in smaller and larger cities of good quality, well-planned settlements, not pretend to be the solution to housing problems is +gettoisation+".

He argued that from the state budget to local governments "there must be reasonable resources to build fresh housing estates".

The presidential election will take place on May 18. Any second circular will be held on 1 June.
