Foreign volunteers in Ukraine: Russian intelligence, narcos and Colombian mercenaries

According to Intelligence Online, the diversity and rotation of legionaries pose major challenges for Ukrainian counterintelligence services. Since the beginning of the war, SBU and HUR have had to face the hazard of Russian agents being penetrated into volunteer structures. Russian intelligence sees legionnaires as an attractive goal: they can supply information on operational plans, combat reality and modern technologies, especially FPV drones (First individual View), which have become a key tool of war. The Legion's infiltration allows not only to increase Russia's operational capabilities, but besides opens the way to transfer cognition to criminal environments.
