Vasily Bodnar was born in 1976 in the Tarnopolskie region, and began his diplomatic career after graduating from the University of Lviv, where he received education in global relations and law. In 2006-2010 he served as the first secretary and advisor of the Ukrainian embassy in Warsaw, so he knows the local reality and context of Polish-Ukrainian relations.
