A Ukrainian rocket fell on the Wire. On November 15, 2022, before 16 o'clock, the projectile flew with a whistling over a grain buying point and hit a commodity weight on which the agricultural tractor with trailers stood. 2 people died at the site: Bogusław Woś – 1960s and Bogdan Ciupek – 59 years old.
Coming from Białystok and approaching the road board with the inscription “Wires” you can see on a tiny hill of the erstwhile PGR building and shiny 4 grain silos. That's it. site, November 15 last year, there was a tragedy – 2 employees of the agri-trade company became the first Polish victims of the Russian-Ukrainian War.

A household of 3 with a resonant girl with braids is moving slow along the sidewalk. A tall, strong man afraid about the events of last year turns out to be a friend of the OS, who, along with the crew of the fire truck, came to the scene first.
– At first, I thought the furnace had blown up in our house; my mother-in-law and I ran out into the yard to see what happened, that was the bang. It wasn't until I realized something was going on with focus. A fewer minutes later, we were already there with the army – the fireman says. – The view was bad: a teardrop in the ground, a torn tractor and 2 dead bodies. The rocket did not hit them straight due to the fact that there would be nothing to collect, but the tractor. Then the police came, the ambulance, and then the army.

A twelve meters distant you can see the tiny mounds of earth. That's where the industrial weight of the vehicles was. The pour after the detonation was partially concreted and buried.

Across the street, there are 2 well-maintained blocks, a playground for children, benches. There's a female sitting on 1 of them, there's a young mom with a wheelchair next door.
– We heard a bang, but it looked like the storm was coming, and with it thundering. I just saw something happen in the dryer. I ran out into the street, everyone who was home went to see what happened. The guards were coming, but there was no 1 left to save. Only the hand of God that the rocket didn't hit the block.
A minute later, a man tells us that it seemed as if a rocket revolved around the buildings, saying that he was proceeding a whistling as if it was looking for a target.
– God and Bogdan would be alive if a second, possibly 2 seconds later they left the cantorque. God brought a tractor with corn. He put the trailers on weight and went to Bogdan with papers. They were about to leave, and as they approached the set, the rocket fell. As we ran, there was nothing left of the tractor, the trailer was turned. There was quite a few scattered grain, bricks, concrete fragments and rocket fragments. My wife picked up a part of sheet metal, but she was very hot, so she dropped it. The same stones, hot, like they were taken out of the fire.
Shortly after, an army appeared in the Wire, the area was surrounded by a tight cordon, no 1 could enter or exit without permission. It lasted a week due to the fact that the issue became political.

Click to enlarge.– It is not known – says Kacper, a student of the method school in Zamość, who came to his native village for the weekend and serves as a guide – whether there will be one, a common monument or 2 side by side. It was a shock to everyone. It couldn't fit our minds that something like this happened here.

The boy adds that at the end of last year in the west Ukraine continued to exchange fire, the sounds of the detonation were heard in the Wire.
– Now everything is quiet, fear has subsided, but we resent the president of Ukraine, that erstwhile he was in Poland he did not apologize to families, let alone compensation or passing here. From the very beginning, he filmed that it wasn't his rocket, but that he didn't apologize, it's hard to understand.
On 5 April 2023, the president of Ukraine Zelenski “in designation of the remarkable merits of deepening friendly and comprehensive relations between Poland and Ukraine, for developing cooperation for democracy, peace and safety in Europe and integrity in the defence of inalienable human rights” was awarded the Order of the White Eagle. “You are an absolutely exceptional man, you are a model of the leader of the state and nation,” said the president of Poland Duda during the ceremony.
