From the Archive of Polish Losses – IPN competition for students of secondary schools

The archives of the Institute of National Memory invitation teachers and students of secondary schools to participate in the competition “From the Archive of Polish Losses”. The task is to tell the communicative of a hero crucial to the local community. Competition works in the form of a movie rotation and illustrated biogram can be performed individually or in a group of up to 4 students.
The competition was prepared as part of a task popularising the publishing series “The Archives of Polish Losses”, in which the IPN reminds stories of people who stand out and accomplish in Polish social, political and cultural life in the marked totalitarianism of the 20th century..

The task of the participants of the competition is: to choice a deceased person, well-deserved in the local environment for the recovery and preservation of the independent existence of the Polish state in the 20th century; to collect information about the chosen individual and to present the communicative of life and activity of the hero.
– All curious in participating in the competition will be invited in April to workshops, during which we will give a hint on how to professionally conduct the inquiry, prepare biographical text and movie roll. The winning work will be published in the publishing series “Archivement of Polish Losses”, and its authors will be taken to an educational journey full of historical memorabilia to Lower Silesia – the organizers inform.
