A 21-year-old Ukrainian citizen went to jail after being caught driving a BMW despite 3 court bans. With the accelerated procedure, the conviction was already filed within 48 hours of detention. Police warn: breaking driving bans will consequence in immediate reaction and fast court proceedings.
Escape from the police and fast reaction of officers
Officers of the territory Police Command in Piaseczno stopped a BMW driver on Sunny Street in Stara Iwiczna. The man initially tried to bypass the patrol, stopping only a fewer 100 meters distant and rapidly getting out of the car. However, the police were not misled and immediately intervened.
Three active driving bans – court left no doubt
As it turned out, the 21-year-old had as many as 3 judicial bans on driving, issued by the territory Court for Warsaw-Mokotów. 2 of them were imposed in 2024 and the 3rd in February 2025. Nevertheless, the young driver ignored the bans and re-entered the wheel.
Quick sentence: prison, driving ban and advanced fine
Officers transported a man to jail, and his car hit a police safety deposit car. Through accelerated proceedings, the conviction was handed down within respective hours. The court sentenced the driver to:
- 3 months imprisonment,
- 3-year ban on driving,
- fine of PLN 5 000 for the Fund for Harmful Assistance and Postpenitionary Assistance.
The case is supervised by the territory Attorney's Office in Piaseczno.
Police warn: breaking driving bans will be severely punished
This case shows that courts and police leave no uncertainty – breaking driving bans will meet with immediate response. Officers remind us that any specified incidental will consequence in fast behaviour and harsh consequences.
