Xi Jinping calls for method self-sufficiency and modernisation of the armed forces

In a speech closing the yearly session of Parliament, China's leader Xi Jinping called on Monday for technological and method self-sufficiency and further modernisation of the armed forces to become a "great steel wall", protecting the country's sovereignty.
