Since 1 February 2025, residents of Gdańsk and visitors must prepare for crucial increases in parking fees in zones. The amendment resolution was already adopted in 2024, with the aim of improving the rotation of parking spaces and adapting rates to current economical realities. Although residents with the Gdańsk Residential Card will get any relief, for most drivers fresh prices will be a clear burden.
As of February, the first hr of parking in the SPP will increase from PLN 3.90 to PLN 5, and in the Śródmiej Władmiejska region of Paid Parking (SSP) from PLN 5.50 to PLN 7.50. In the following hours, the differences will be even greater. The 3rd hr in the SPF will cost as much as PLN 10.80, i.e. by over PLN 3 more than today. The flat-rate fees will besides increase for residents and entrepreneurs – e.g. the monthly fee for the second vehicle will amount to 260 PLN, alternatively of the existing 10 PLN.
At the same time, penalties were raised for not paying the parking fee. The fresh additional fee will amount to PLN 300, although in the event of fast payment the driver will be able to benefit from the discount to PLN 170.

Relief for residents, but only under certain conditions
The city authorities offered any reliefs to the holders of the Gdańsk Residential Charter. Each user will be able to benefit erstwhile a day from a cheaper parking time at the existing rates, provided that the vehicle registration number is previously assigned to his card. However, apart from this one-time relief, the remaining hours will already be covered by fresh higher prices.
For entrepreneurs, costs will besides increase. The yearly parking fee for business will be PLN 1170 alternatively of the existing PLN 900. The city argues for these changes in expanding infrastructure maintenance costs and the request to guarantee the rotation of parking spaces, especially in a crowded centre.
The Gdańsk authorities keep that the last increase was in 2020. Now they've decided to make the prices real.
