High costs and zero deterrence. Expert thunders Poland for buying drones from the USA

In December 2024, Poland concluded a contract with the US to acquisition 3 MQ-9B SkyGuardian drones worth $310 million. Samuel Nahins, erstwhile operator of these unmanned workers, believes that this was an unsuccessful decision. According to him, machines may not be useful in the weather conditions of east Europe, much little in a possible confrontation with an opponent with extended anti-aircraft defense, specified as Russia. The expert believes that thousands of Ukrainian drones – checked during the war and much cheaper – could be purchased for the same amount, and hundreds of operators could be trained. "Eases to spend money on expensive, well-known American platforms should be resisted" - stressed the US expert.
