India gave Grotowski, a prominent reformer of the planet theatre of the 20th century, something hard to grasp and at the same time highly important. This is the belief that theatre work and acting work are constantly working on themselves. The theatrical premiere is not the goal and finale of this work. Rather, it is simply a point on the way to grinding the gem, which is to become a gathering of the artists of the show with the spectators. And this is simply a very Indian belief, according to which training, working on your own body and your own psyche are just as important, or possibly even more crucial than the performance itself.
