On Friday, Donald Trump confirmed that the gathering would be held next Friday, August 15 in Alaska. The aim of the talks is to negociate the end of the 3 and a half years of war in Ukraine.
Trump published a message on social media, informing that the parties, including Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenski, are close to concluding a ceasefire agreement.

According to the agency Reuters, during his interview with journalists, president Trump suggested that the agreement could include land exchange. “There will be an exchange of territories that will benefit both sides,” he said.
He besides added, "We are looking at the issue of territories that fought for 3 and a half years. Many Russians died, many Ukrainians died. So that's what we're considering (change of territories - ed.), but what we truly want is to get any of them back and make an exchange. It's complicated. In fact, it's not easy (...)
