Education of Rafał Trzaskowski. What did he study?
Karol Nawrocki and Rafał Trzaskowski will face the second circular of the presidential elections of the Republic of Poland. Both candidates can boast a solid education from renowned universities. We look closely at their educational paths — both erstwhile president of the Institute of National Memory and vice-president of the Civic Coalition.
Rafał Trzaskowski can show off a very awesome education, won not only at Polish universities, but besides at renowned abroad universities. which reflects his deep commitment to European and green governance, i.e. environmental protection.
After finishing XI advanced School. Mikołaj Reja in Warsaw, continued studying abroad, attending Cranbrook-Kingswood advanced School in Michigan, USA, and Marcellin College in Sydney, Australia. In Poland he studied at the University of Warsaw, earning 2 diplomas: English philology and global relations, both with distinction. Further specialization in European integration was developed at the European College in Natolin, where he studied, among others, under prof. Bronisław Geremek.
In 2004, he defended his doctorate at the University of Warsaw, presenting a paper entitled “Dynamics of the improvement of the Decision-making strategy in the European Union”. His education besides included scholarships at the University of Oxford and at the European Union Institute for safety investigation in Paris. Trzaskowski is fluent in 5 abroad languages: English, French, Spanish, Russian and Italian. Despite very pro-European views, Trzaskowski repeatedly stressed the importance of transatlantic relations, headed by relations with the United States.

President of IPN, or historian Karol Nawrocki
Karol Tadeusz Nawrocki is simply a historian and social activist whose educational way is closely related to the investigation on the latest past of Poland and the cultivation of the memory of events forming the independency of the Republic of Poland in the 20th century. Karol Nawrocki is not a associate of any political organization and in the election for the office of president of the Republic of Poland he competes as a citizen candidate. Many people identify him as a PiS candidate, but only have the support of Law and Justice.
Karol Nawrocki obtained his education in historical studies at the University of Gdańsk, where he defended his PhD in 2013 on the basis of a dissertation on social opposition to communist power in the Elbląg Voivodeship from 1976 to 1989. His engagement in commemoration of past was besides manifested in his work at the Institute of National Memory and as manager of the Museum of the Second planet War in Gdańsk.
In 2023 he expanded his competence, completing postgraduate studies at the Gdańsk University of Technology. His actions, specified as the removal of monuments commemorating the presence of the Red Army throughout Poland, met with the reaction of the Russian Federation, which placed him on the list of wanted persons. In the presidential campaign, he repeatedly stressed the importance of effective protection of the state budget, equal rights for all citizens, calling it "equal to the law" and strengthening wellness services. Its main nonsubjective in the run is besides to defend public finances, reduce unfair bank profits erstwhile granting housing credits and prosecute alleged VAT mafia activities. His father, Tadeusz Nawrocki, was besides active in social activity, which influenced the improvement of values of Karol Nawrocki.
What kind of education did the erstwhile presidents have?
The Constitution of the Republic of Poland does not specify the required education for the applicant for the office of President, but traditionally the highest office in the country is held by persons with higher education and rich public experience. An example of specified an educational way is Andrzej Duda, who graduated from the Jagiellonian University and then continued his career at the same university, obtaining a doctorate in administrative law.
Bronisław Komorowski is simply a postgraduate of the past of the University of Warsaw, where he studied the past of Poland. Aleksander Kwaśniewski, who, although he began studying in economics and abroad trade at the University of Gdańsk, went a different way, never formally completed them. Nevertheless, his commitment to political life and functions during the times of the Polish People's Republic allowed him to build a strong political position and win twice the election for president of the Republic of Poland.
