According to Militarnyi portal, the detonation took place the day after the Russian abroad Intelligence Service (SWR) accused Serbian arms companies of secretly supplying crucial amounts of Ukraine ammunition utilizing falsified end-user certifications. According to SWR, Serbia was to pass on hundreds of thousands of artillery missiles and millions of rounds to tiny arms, which was referred to as a "cook to the back" against Russia. Serbia's President, Aleksandar Vučić, denied these allegations, stressing that Serbia is acting solely in its national interest and that no authorisation for arms exports to Ukraine was granted.
