Presidential election in Zabrze. You know who's gonna take the second round

The first circular of presidential elections in Zabrze did not bring a decision. In the second one, the incumbent president Zabrzą Ewa Weber and Kamil Żbikowski will face. The pre-term elections in Zabrze became essential after the May referendum of president Agnieszka Rupniewska.

To identify with the environment Civil Coalition Ewa Weber voted 12700 people – 39.29 percent and the city activist Kamila Żbikowski – 5216 - 16.14 percent. 3rd place, with the consequence of 4,944 votes (15.29 percent), took favoured by Law and Justice Boris Borówka.

Presidential election in Zabrze. First circular results

O chair President Zabrza six candidates ran on Sunday. In accordance with the protocol announced Municipal Election Commission have obtained the following results:

  • Boris Borówka (KWW Boris Borówka) - 4944 votes (15.29 percent)
  • Łucja Chrzęstek-Bar - 1716 votes (5.31 percent)
  • Sebastian Dziębowski (KWW Sebastian Dziębowski – Confederacy) - 4556 votes (14.09 percent)
  • Rafał Kobos (KWW Effective for Zabrz and Małgorzata Manka-Szulik) - 3193 votes (11%)
  • Ewa Weber (KWW Ewa Weber) – 12700 votes (39.29 percent)
  • Kamil Żbikowski (KWW Better Zabrze Kamila Żbikowski) - 5216 votes (16.14 percent).

Turnout, with 32525 crucial cards taken out of the polls and 116723 eligible to vote, amounted to 27.87 percent.

Since no of the candidates received more than 50% of the vote in the Sunday election, in 2 weeks' time, Second round. Residents will be able to vote for 1 of the 2 people who received the highest support in the first round.

Referendum in Zabrze. Revocation of the City President

Agnieszka Rupniewska She ruled Zabrze for a year. In 2024 she won the local elections. In the second round, she received more votes than Małgorzata Manka-Szulik, who led the city for 18 years – since 2006 (in the first circular of Manka-Szulik then overtook Żbikowski by 154 votes).

On 12 May, Rupniewska was cancelled in binding referendum (it voted over 3/5 of the number of voters who took part in its election in the second circular in 2024)
