Elections in Hungary won't change anything.

Orban has mastered all institutions in the country – not only courts, audit institutions or public and private media, but even niche, almost independent online platforms usage self-censorship.

Even the election committees that number the votes are under Fidesz' control.

In addition, Orban has been manipulating public opinion since 2010. It's a miracle that there are inactive Hungarians who don't treat him like a god.

Let us besides remember that Trump's hand in hand with Putin will aid him in the election.

But let us presume that evidence EU inflation, 50% inflation since 2020 and a catastrophic decline in economical growth – minus 1.7% – has pissed off the public.

However, Orban has a constitutional majority, so he can change the law according to his own wishes. The concreteization of the justice strategy that PiS did in Poland before the 2023 elections, with what Orban can do, is simply a trifle.

Orban may, for example, give the president powers of the emperor, who approves everything, even convening parliament after the election. In the event of a loss, he can become president himself – and the president in Hungary chooses parliament – and establish a ten-year term... and what the hell, a life term, making the office hereditary. The government and parliament would only become a debate circle.

Only the "Ceausescu option" would stay for Hungarians.
