"No poll gave specified advanced support to Calin Georgesc, who won the first circular of presidential elections in Romania. If he wins in the second, there will be a dramatic turn in the country's abroad policy. Georgescu, a nationalist politician without political background, won almost 23 percent of the vote. The polls gave him 4 to 7.5 percent support. He yet obtained 2.1 million votes, defeating rivals from the largest Romanian parties specified as PSD (Social Democratic Party), PNL (National and Liberal Party), USR (Romanian Salvation Union). He didn't even have a run staff. Most of the run was conducted on social networks, mostly on TikTok. Romanians promised to "restore dignity and justice" as well as to "take care of the humiliated who feel that they do not matter, but that they truly substance most". The Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu, the PSD candidate and the party's chief, previously the favourite of the election, suffered a severe defeat. He scored just over 19% and will not enter the second round. He lost respective 1000 votes to Elena Lasconi, USR candidate. PSD is simply a Romanian organization of power. He has been in charge of the PNL coalition for 4 years, from which president Klaus Iohannis, who departed in December, is born.”
