The Gate of Tears in the corner of Africa

The Bab el-Mandab Strait, located between Djibouti and Yemen, which passes about 10 percent of the marine oil transport, is of strategical importance to the Red Sea. The name of the Strait – the Gate of Tears – is due to highly complicated navigation on this section and reflects the destiny of those who must exceed it. It besides reflects the level of tension in the region.
