WOT continues to aid fight the effects of the winter attack

Many places in the country inactive have hard conditions due to intense snowfall. Consequently, in increased readiness to aid the population in regions affected by snowstorms, there are inactive territorialists who, as stressed by WOT press services in the Communication, are "ready to act where time and safety of residents matter".

The territorials of the 9 brigades shortened the time to appear on call from receiving an alarm signal to six hours. Alert for fast assistance in possible combating the effects of weather phenomena were directed to soldiers of the 9th Łódź Territorial Defence Brigade, 10th Świętokrzyska BOT, 11th Małopolska BOT, 12th Wielkopolska BOT, 13th Silesian BOT, 14th Zachodniopomorskie BOT, 15th Lubuska BOT, 16th Lower Silesian BOT and 17th Opole BOT.

Today, the support of the city services in Malbork continued the 7th Pomeranian Territorial Defence Brigade. Soldiers from the 71st Light Infantry Battalion helped to clear the area at public utility facilities. The territorials of Malbork, at the request of the Pomeranian Voivodeship, besides removed snow in the most affected municipality in Malbork region – look Pole. – 30 soldiers of the 71st Battalion of the Light Infantry in Malbork were sent to the action – says Lt. Angelika Tatarewicz, press officer of the 7th Pomeranian BOT.

Additionally, in Malbork, prisoners from the local Outer Branch of the Correctional Institution in Sztuma were active in the de-snowing of the city.

At the request of the Warmia-Masurian voivode today, the municipal services in the fresh Lubawski City besides supported the public service sections of the 4th Warmia-Masurian Territorial Defence Brigade.
