Women for Elections is an educational run encouraging women to participate actively in elections. Each of us has an opinion and that is why we must vote whether you are 18, 38 or 78. Each female is part of society and is liable for it.
Poland is 1 of the first countries in the planet where women have won electoral rights. Since 1918, shortly after regaining independence, women in Poland have the right to vote and to be elected public. Poland has introduced these rules before the US and many European Union countries specified as France, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Greece.

Why do women in Poland go to elections little often?
Among the most frequently mentioned reasons for not voting, for both women and men, are:
- no suitable candidate (no 1 to vote for)
- lack of interest in politics
- no sense of meaning of my own voice (my voice won't change anything anyway)
Turnout in Poland is rather low compared to another European democracies, including post-communist ones. It is so essential to encourage the vote of all, regardless of gender. In this way, we can choose the most suitable solutions for crucial matters.
