There has been a change of watch under the Tatras. From Friday to mid-December, a military chopper will be on work in replacement for the "Sokola" of the Tatra Volunteer Rescue Assistance (TOPR). During this time the device will undergo a method inspection.

The TOPR chopper is undergoing a cyclical renovation, so for the next 4 weeks the Tatra rescuers will be supported by the crew of 33. Transport Air Bases in Żódź utilizing helicopter W-3 FalconSAR version (search and rescue).

In September this year, TOPR announced that it is planning to acquisition a fresh rescue helicopter, which will replace the presently utilized device over a period of respective years W-3A Falcon. The acquisition of the fresh device is planned for the years 2029-2030. This is due to marketplace and legal procedures, as well as the request to train the full crew to operate a fresh kind of aircraft, which will take 4 to 5 years.
