The TOPR chopper is undergoing a cyclical renovation, so for the next 4 weeks the Tatra rescuers will be supported by the crew of 33. Transport Air Bases in Żódź utilizing helicopter W-3 FalconSAR version (search and rescue).

A military chopper over the Tatras could be admired in the last week of October erstwhile crews were being played. This was a training cycle to prepare for joint rescue actions.

Tatra rescuers began utilizing a chopper during rescue operations in the early 1970s. Since the early 1990s, TOPR has owned its own chopper FalconIt was given to the paramedics by president Lech Walesa's law firm. In 1994, during the rescue, the device surrendered disaster in Olczyska ValleyTwo pilots and 2 lifeguards were killed.

After a half-year break, the chopper returned to the Tatras and is irreplaceable during high-mountain action. A fewer minutes of chopper flight replaced hours of rescue expeditionsso that the time to scope the victims was importantly reduced.

In September this year, TOPR announced that it is planning to acquisition a fresh rescue helicopter, which will replace the presently utilized device over a period of respective years W-3A Falcon. The acquisition of the fresh device is planned for the years 2029-2030. This is due to marketplace and legal procedures, as well as the request to train the full crew to operate a fresh kind of aircraft, which will take 4 to 5 years.

In parallel, the main review, renovation and modernization of the W-3A Sokol chopper from 2026 to 2027 is planned. This work is to be organised so that the downtime is as short as possible. While servicing support in rescue actions he will supply Aviation of the Polish Army.
