The military will test fresh technologies

The joint investigating of fresh solutions concerning recognition, command or communication systems provides for an agreement between the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanized Brigade and the WB Group. The Polish company is simply a maker utilized by Polish army of FlyEye drones and ammunition circulating Warmate.

The agreement was concluded at the end of November. Thanks to it, soldiers of 1 of the most crucial linear units of the Polish army will be able to get acquainted with modern systems designed and manufactured by the WB Group, measure them and then pass their conclusions and observations to the manufacturer. This solution will let optimal adaptation of equipment to the needs of the army.

“We are talking about technologies concerning command systems, recognition, communication and combat management,” explains Remigius Wilk, manager of communication in the WB Group. As Colonel Marek Fiałka, deputy commander of the 17th Wielkopolska Mechanized Brigade, notes, his subordinate soldiers will act as testers. “The cooperation will include equipment utilized in various domains, from unmanned flying systems to land systems”, explains the officer and adds that the WB Group late presented to soldiers a prototype of a terrestrial reconnaissance vehicle that can be operated by the crew but besides operate as a drone.

However, the agreement is not only about investigating innovative solutions. The WB Group is besides a maker of many systems already utilized by the Polish army. Among them are, for example, unmanned FlyEye aircraft, utilized during reconnaissance missions, or ammunition circulating in Warmate. “In our unit, training is underway for FlyEye operators. In January we leave with another – for Warmate operators. We're hoping the WB specialists can aid us with that. For example, we talked about launching a peculiar line that the soldiers will be able to call on if they request a consultation," said Col.

17 The Wielkopolska Mechanized Brigade is subject to the 11th Lubuska Division of Armored Cavalry. The unit can boast, among others, rich experience erstwhile it comes to missions outside the state. Her soldiers served in Iraq and Afghanistan, among others. The "Seventh" has always been regarded as a precursor in the implementation of modern solutions concerning even communication, which is why the word Digital Brigade adhered to it.

The WB Group, 1 of the largest aircraft unmanned manufacturers in Europe, is 1 of the fastest increasing companies in Poland. It has offices and technological centers in Asia and North America, but in addition to the Polish army, the US, Sweden, Ukraine and Hungary are besides used.
