Civil War in Sudan – the beginning of the end?

Since April 2023, Sudan has been an arena of bloody civilian war. However, this is not an unprecedented situation in the past of this country, as the country has been in a state of chronic destabilisation since the decolonization period, which was affected by the 1955-1972, 1983-2005 civilian wars in Darfur. The war in Sudan, in addition to the interior dimension, attracts the attention of global actors who compete with each other, creating another level of proxy competition. The mediate East countries, African countries, as well as crucial global players, emphasize their activity there.
