Wojciech Radkowiak: Again in Volyn

At the invitation of Dr. Leon Popek, a group of friends of Volynsko-Podolska Land on 11-14.08.2025 appeared in Ostrówków, Volyn to undertake cleaning work at the local cemetery. Gravestones were renewed, weeds were cut, grass was mowed, pine cones were won, leaves were dried. The candles were lit and prayers for the dead and murdered on 30.08.1943 by nationalists from UPA in the village of Ostrówówka and in Wola Ostrowiecka were refused.
The cemeteries in Holobach and Sielc were besides visited, where any victims of Ukrainian genocide from the village of Gaj were buried.
At the erstwhile shooting scope in grove, where our compatriots were murdered on 30.08.1943, they lit up memories and prayed for their souls.
It is worth noting that fresh participants of the journey to Wołyńskie Cemetery - Bożena from Lublin, Mariusz from Opole Śląski, Paweł from Toruń, Jarek from Chełm and Dominika from the USA appeared. This fact fills Dr. Popka with large joy, due to the fact that work in the Volyn Cemetery keeps coming.
