Former lawyer General and Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro is suspected of 26 crimes including misappropriation of funds from the Justice Fund and directing an organized crime group. In November this year, the Prosecutor's Office requested, among others, temporary detention for policy. The decision was besides made to safe his assets.
The National Prosecutor's Office wanted to impose on Ziobry property in Jeruzal (in Łódź Voivodeship) a compulsory mortgage of over PLN 143 million – for this amount the cost of crimes accused of erstwhile minister was calculated.
The territory Court of Rawa Mazowiecka dismissed Zbigniew Ziobra for the second time
On Wednesday, RMF FM reported that the territory Court of Rawa Mazowiecka had not given consent at the request of the National Prosecutor's Office on the compulsory mortgage, and that its decision justified that the letter contained many errors, including the deficiency of claims.
The PAP (quoted for TOK FM) reported that the application was repeated but was one more time dismissed by the court. “Unfortunately, according to the referendarist who ruled in this case, (ed. – prosecutor) corrected it insufficiently,” said Grzegorz Gala, a press spokesperson for the criminal territory court in Łódź.
Zbigniew Ziobro, who "travels across Europe" and says about himself that "he is simply a free man", is waiting for a motion for temporary arrest to be examined. The proceeding during which this case will be settled was scheduled for Monday, December 22 of this year.
Let us mention that the erstwhile lawyer General and Minister of Justice are presently in Brussels. He had previously spent weeks in Hungary. As social media took pictures of politics walking around the European Parliament building, a storm broke out online.
"He has the strength to meet his colleagues from the Law and Justice, which is promising. He must watch out for large gatherings of people, due to the fact that it is in a serious illness not recommended" – wrote Bartosz Arłukowicz, vice-president of the Civic Coalition on the X portal (formerly Twitter).
