Italy reinforced Lithuania's air defence. Rockets have arrived

The Ministry of National Defence of the Republic of Lithuania informed about exercises beginning this period at the Lithuanian military base in Saul (lit. Siauliai). This is where the exercises will take place, during which the SAMP/T systems will be synchronized with Italian and French fighters participating in the Baltic Air Police mission (a cryptonym for Operation North Atlantic Alliance conducted since March 2004 as part of the NATO fast consequence Force – ed.). Synchronisation is besides intended to apply to NATO air defence command and control systems with Lithuania-owned air defence systems [NASAMS](article:1042189).
