"If European funds disappear, the state will gotta compensate for the shortcomings. This would be theoretically possible, but in practice very hard due to the essential expenditure in another areas. There would most likely be an increase in public debt, and this would lead to an increase in inflation, a weakening of the currency and make it hard to keep long-term economical growth," says economist Ignacy Morawski.
